National Science Foundation | Autonomous Vehicle Research Intern, Michigan, 2024 May - July

• Developing an intelligen intersection system that optimizes traffic flow by communicating with Autonomous Vehicles (AV), Road Side Unit (RSU), and traffic lights using Python and C++ based Robotic Operating System (ROS).
• Developed and implemented computer vision algorithms for lane tracking and vehicle steering in Python and OpenCV.
• Tested the intelligent intersection system and the vision algorithms using real AVs and traffic lights.
• REU program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), in collaboration with Michigan State University and Lawrence Technological University.
• Visited the MCity AV testing facility at the University of Michigan.

UMN UROP | Undergraduate Research Program (Maria Gini's Group), Minnesota, 2024 January - Present

• Created a heuristic algorithm based on A* that optimally solves the coverage path planning problem with dead ends outperforming prior algorithms. Presented a paper of the results as the final project of CSCI 4511W.
• Developing algorithms to solve the Flatland Challenge of train scheduling with funding awarded through the UMN UROP program.

Coding Bootcamp | Program Chair and Lecturer, Spain, July 2023

• Collaborated with the Idiazabal town hall to organize a Coding Bootcamp in mastering the basics of programming with Python and web development for students under 15.
• Led comprehensive lectures and created course notes to teach abstract algorithmic concepts and keep students engaged.
